Pet owners impacted by the Wallow fire can now get free or low-cost veterinary services for their pets and some livestock. If you have been affected by the fire through loss of employment, loss or damage to your home, or other expenses associated with the evacuation, Pet Allies is ready to help your pets with wellness checks, vaccinations, and spaying or neutering (fixing). Dogs, cats, rabbits, and even some large animals like horses are eligible to receive these services. Other veterinary services may also be available.
Donations from Phoenix Animal Care Coalition, United Animal Friends in Prescott, and private individuals have allowed Pet Allies to offer these services at the Pet Allies Clinic, located at 4050 S. White Mountain Road in Show Low. Pet Allies is also known to area residents as the home of the Barkin' Basement Thrift Store. Additionally, Pet Allies is working in cooperation with the Humane Society of the White Mountains PAWS Clinic to offer similar services to the affected pets of the Wallow Fire.
