All profits go to assist the animals in our communities. We provide spay and neuter services for pet owners who cannot otherwise afford the service. This helps to prevent the multitude of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. Gaining control over of the pet population will enable shelters to manage the number of animals turned in without having to kill healthy adoptable pets due to lack of space.

You must come in person to the Barkin' Basement during working hours to sign up for spay and neuter assistance. Go to the cash register and ask the person there for spay or neuter assistance. You must pay for your appointment when you sign up for services. We accept cash, check, debit (minimum purchase $25), Mastercard, Visa and Discover Cards. We're happy to help!

Income from the store also allows us to provide foster homes for animals awaiting adoption. Foster pets are given full care, including food, grooming, medical services, secure travel to and from adoption sites, and behavior assistance if necessary.

By shopping at the Barkin' Basement Thrift Store, you are able to put ideas into action! Become an activist today by spending money to help your local animals. For example, a plastic grocery store sized bag stuffed with new or nearly new clothing is only $5.00. We also have kitchen items and appliances, computers, furniture, 33 LP records, camping gear, hardware, books, jewelry, paintings, sports equipment, all types of bedding, baby things, lamps, seasonal decorations and so much more. Plus, we have the friendliest and most knowledgeable people working at the store just waiting to assist you.

Donations for the store are always welcome and greatly appreciated.

City of Show Low requires donations be made during working hours only, Mon-Sat 10-4. Donation shed is located at the entrance driveway. Please let staff know about your donations. Donation receipts are available from store staff.
